With one of the cleanest Mk1 RS’ in existence Mark, like ourselves, is a total enthusiast for his motor.
Over the years we have literally rebuilt the car from the ground up. This incorporates the most recent work which saw the rear suspension structures renewed, re coated and the floor pan stripped, re-stone chipped and painted a beautiful graphite grey.
Before the suspension came down.
Rear sub frame and trailing-arm assemblies ready to be stripped down.
Rear floor pan being cleaned down.
There was rust even though the surface of the stone chip had barely been broken.
Bagged up to spray.
With the new colour. Looks excellent, much better than the stock finish.
Starting to fit parts back to the underside, Mark wanted all new exhaust heat shields.
The rear sub frame and other parts powder coated RS blue.
Tank filler neck painted.
Re-plated hardware, nuts, bolts etc.
We also cleaned Mark’s Milltek system up for him.
In February we will be giving the front of Mark’s car the same treatment.
